Hotels With Awesome Architecture

Around the world, new hotels continue to defy standards in design with their awesome architecture that astounds the imagination. With these uniquely designed hotels, travelers will find it hard to wipe that awestruck look on their faces before they even enter the lobby to check in.

I love it.

My whole family takes it. ? There are a lot of legitimate mail-order pharmacies in this country.

1. Burj Al-Arab in Dubai

The iconic Burj-Al-Arab became the most recognized symbol of Dubai as it sought to represent the changing face of architecture in the modern emirate. The structure resembles the shape of a traditional Arab sail, paying homage to Dubai’s maritime legacy. When it opened in 1999, it was the first hotel to lay claim to the title, “The Only Seven-Star Hotel in the World” with its extravagant range of amenities.

2. Endemico in Baja California
Endemico is every eco-adventure lover’s dream of sustainable lodging. The cabins dot the hill overlooking the wine region of Valle de Guadalupe, a short drive from San Diego, California. Made from wood and Corten steel, the structures are built to age well over time so that they would blend well with the rustic setting. Each cabin has a private terrace from where you can sip locally produced wines while gazing at the stars in the night sky.

One look at Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel gives an illusion that the building is engulfed by waves. True enough, the inspiration for the undulating balconies is Lake Michigan, the heart of Chicago’s legacy. In a city known for its old-world architecture, this hotel creates ripples with its ultra-modern design. Architects planned a different billowing design for each floor, thus no two “waves” are constructed in the same way. Every floor required unique requirements in the use of concrete, which is quite a remarkable feat!

4. Southern Ocean Lodge in Kangaroo Island

Southern Ocean Lodge in Australia’s Kangaroo Island is a fine example of architecture following the natural landscape. The row of suites is nestled on a slope and follows the land’s natural shape. In order not to cause disruption on the sand and limestone surface, the construction only used lightweight materials with minimal impact on the soil conditions.

5. Axis Viana Hotel in Portugal
Axis Viana Hotel in Portugal looks as if it’s challenging the laws of gravity with its cantilevered design. Constructed out of black glass, reflective aluminum and green stone, the exterior’s shape actually shifts at different angles, depending on the perspective. The backdrop of mountains and river make a startling contrast to the contemporary architecture of the hotel.

Marina Bay Sands reinvents the urban landscape of Singapore. Appearing like a giant ship resting on three towers hovering above the marina, the structure is a colossal luxury hotel with more than 2,000 rooms. The complex also includes a waterfront promenade, casino, retail spaces, dining establishments and convention center. The SkyPark has an enviable 492-foot swimming pool, which allows guests to indulge in heart-stopping views while taking a dip.

These architectural marvels provide an inspiring stay for travelers with discriminating taste. Seeing how these hotels measure up to the ever-changing world of hotel design, we can say that man’s conquest for the ultimate accommodations will lead to bright prospects in the future.
